“We want every woman who walks through our doors to feel like an absolute queen,” Marley McKenna says with a warm smile. Her voice is as confident as her vision for Revive Boutique, a place that has redefined the shopping experience in Salt Lake City. From its beginnings in 2020 during the height of the pandemic to its relocation in the vibrant Central 9th district in May 2024, Marley’s passion for accessible, high-quality fashion has made Revive a standout destination for locals and tourists alike.
Marley has always been drawn to fashion. Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she developed an eye for style while thrifting and putting together outfits on a tight budget. “We didn’t have a lot of money, so I’d shop second-hand, trying to create fun looks at a low cost,” she recalls. Her dream was to go to fashion school, but that was not in the cards. Her journey to opening Revive took her through fifteen years in corporate America, but she never let go of her desire to work in fashion. In 2020, she took the leap, leaving her job to launch Revive and devote herself fully to her passion.
Initially located in Midvale, Utah, Revive started as a mix of inexpensive fashion and vintage clothing. But as Marley learned more about the industry, she pivoted, eliminating fast fashion and focusing on high-quality, sustainable designer pieces. “I realized Salt Lake didn’t have an affordable option for designer fashion,” Marley explains. “You’d see beautiful $2,000 dresses, but who can afford that? Now, we have those same dresses for $65.” With prices up to ninety percent off retail, the boutique offers an inclusive, accessible way for women to express themselves through style.
Revive’s new 1,500-square-foot location has been a game-changer. Marley’s curated collection of dresses, denim, shoes, jackets, bags, sunglasses, and coats caters to a wide range of customers, from Gen Z daughters to their Gen X moms. She carefully selects inventory from across the country - without ever revealing her sources - ensuring that her customers have access to brands and styles rarely found in Utah. “We’re not a consignment store,” she clarifies. “I want to bring unique pieces to Salt Lake that you can’t find anywhere else.”
Dresses are the boutique’s signature offering, with racks of one-of-a-kind pieces perfect for weddings, events, or simply a night out. “People love coming here to find something special,” Marley says. She is also committed to inclusivity, offering sizes ranging from XS to 3XL. For Marley, it is not just about the clothes—it is about how her customers feel when they wear them. Marley also emphasizes her commitment to exceptional customer service. She ensures that every visitor has a personalized experience. Whether it is finding the perfect dress, or offering styling advice, Marley and her team create a welcoming environment where shoppers feel celebrated and confident.
As she reflects on her journey, Marley’s passion for sustainable fashion and helping women feel beautiful shines through. “I’ve always loved fashion, and I’ve always loved helping people feel good in what they’re wearing,” she says. For Marley, Revive is not just a store; it reflects her own story, her love of style, and her mission to make high fashion accessible to all. “We’re creating something special here,” she adds. “But I want people to know this isn’t just about clothes. It’s about making women feel amazing, no matter their budget.”
